AI-Native AEO Grant Program for International Enrollment
For colleges and universities ready to improve how AI search represents them to international students.
Applications close November 16, 2026
Program Overview
The Campus Consortium Foundation (CCF) has launched a $250,000 National AEO Grant Initiative to help U.S. colleges and universities improve international student enrollment.
Each selected institution receives a complete Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Digital Audit, showing how your institution appears in AI-generated answers compared with peer institutions, whether key pages and technical markup help answer engines cite you, and what your wider digital footprint tells students. A prioritized action plan follows, ready before your next international recruitment cycle.
Why This Matters
As international students turn to AI to decide where to study, institutions must reassess how they appear in the answers students receive, many of which come from sources the institution does not control. Institutions that act proactively can:
- Understand how their programs appear in AI-generated answers
- Benchmark visibility against peer institutions
- Make key pages easier for answer engines to extract and cite
- Strengthen schema and structured data
- Close gaps in their wider digital footprint
- Enter the next recruitment cycle with a prioritized plan
The AI-Native AEO Grant Program for International Enrollment is designed to reduce financial barriers to AI search readiness, enabling institutions to establish a clear baseline without diverting internal budget resources.
Who Should Apply
Open to U.S. higher education institutions, including:
- Community colleges
- Public and private colleges and universities
- Institutions with active or growing international recruitment
