Chicago, May 12, 2021: AmplifiedIT education technology experts, announced that Google for Education will become a sponsor of Campus Consortium, a global nonprofit education association.

Google for Education and AmplifiedIT will be featured in an informative and interactive discussion about secure collaboration. Since the pandemic, services that were ‘nice to have’ are now essential, and likely there will be permanent changes and requirements in the years ahead. With an increase in distance and hybrid learning, security concerns have heightened. Google Workspace for Education, a suite of easy-to-use tools, offers solutions and services to meet the needs of teaching and learning, effective collaboration and enhanced security. In addition to a free offering, paid plans can also provide a flexible and secure foundation for learning, collaboration, and communication. The EdTalk titled “Google Workspace for Education: Secure Collaboration in Higher Education with Google” will be hosted live on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 2 p.m. ET. Campus Consortium brings innovative and affordable educational technology to its members. Google for Education, AmplifiedIT and Campus Consortium will partner beginning in June 2021 for the benefit of higher education institutions and K-12 school districts.

Previous EdTalks have included Cornell University and IT Support and discussions with peer institutions about Identity and Access Management, Student Information Systems and Digital Accessibility.

“We understand the significance of securely managing access members in the evolving threat landscape,” said Dan Cohrs, Executive Vice President and CFO, Colorado Christian University. “The Grant will facilitate building an Identity Access Management roadmap, while significantly bolstering security for our institution. It will also help us improve productivity across IT systems.”

“The pandemic’s impact forced many in the education sector to find solutions for online learning and a mobile workforce. With little time for planning, implementation and shrinking budgets institutions require user friendly, secure and affordable collaboration technology for teaching, learning and working. Google for Education and AmplifiedIT offer innovation and security for schools that need affordable effective solutions,” said Karl Horvarth, Ph.D., President of Campus Consortium
