Student Engagement Mobile App and Artificial Intelligence Chatbot In-Kind Grant
Dr. Torie Jackson, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at West Virginia University at Parkersburg, explains the institution’s need to improve student engagement and community. Due to impacts of the pandemic and limited resources and staff, WVU Parkersburg had to find a way to elevate student experience and ensure the mission and culture of the institution persisted online and on-ground. Campus Consortium introduced the school to an ed-tech partner who provided a mobile app and chatbot solution and decreased cost by subsidizing the new technology. WVU Parkersburg was able to access innovative and affordable technology due to Campus Campus Consortium’s partner program and an in-kind grant.
