Digital Badges and Certification
Compliance and Regulation
- Cyber Insurance
- Legal Requirements
- Goverment Regulation
- Financial Audits
Campus Consortium partners with education technology vendors, companies, and organizations to offer digital credentials to member institutions. Digital badges and certifications are a meaningful way to demonstrate certifications, compliance, and other institutional accomplishments in a format that can be easily shared online. Digital badges are embedded with qualifying information such as who issued the credential, standards, and frameworks, where and how it was earned, and a detailed description of competencies met. Badge icons reveal information, and accomplishments and can be authenticated and verified by the viewer. Cybersecurity solutions, compliance assessments, security audits, certification, and remediation services have been provided to educational institutions by Campus Consortium EdTech partners.

GLBA Certification (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)
Amendments to strengthen the Safeguards Rule for Customer Information under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) impact all public and private Title IV higher education institutions that store and use any person’s non-public or personal data. Institutions must achieve compliance before the end of 2022 (December 9, 2022). Under GLBA, penalties for non-compliance can include fines up to $100,000 per violation, criminal penalties, and the revocation of licenses.
DDEI Certification (Digital Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)
Diversity is the presence of differences that may include race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, language, (dis)ability, age, religious commitment, or political perspective. Many educational institutions create policy, training, and support for Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
GDPR Certification (General Data Protection Regulation)
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union and the European Economic Area. The law specifies that data subjects have the right to determine what happens with their personal information. Educational institutions are among the many organizations that must comply with GDPR.
HIPAA Certification (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
A thorough NIST standard Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance audit conducted by experienced and credentialed professionals identifies HIPAA gaps within an institution. The cost of a HIPAA compliance audit to protect ePHI is prohibitive and prevents many organizations from considering this essential service. Campus Consortium pricing makes a HIPAA audit affordable and accessible.
CSIM (Cyber Security Insurance Master Certification)
The Cyber Security Insurance Master Certification is a comprehensive campus-wide assessment based on NIST 800-171, ISO 27001 compliance, and conducted by experienced and credentialed Cyber Security Professionals.
$20,000 Fee includes comprehensive assessment, technology, and functional unit advising, short-term and long-term action items and priorities, final report, certification document, badging, and follow-up.
