Campus Consortium awards $20,000 Grant to Neumann University for GDPR Assessment

Chicago, May 6,2019: Campus Consortium, the largest global education association of schools, colleges and universities, awards $20,000 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Assessment Grant to Neumann University to enable efficient data protection. Neumann University is a private Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition in Aston, Pennsylvania. It is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia.

“Neumann University is committed to inspiring and educating the future generation of leaders in public and private enterprise and non-profit sectors. The GDPR Grant will help the institution meet its strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with this new expansive regulation. It will also allow proper policy transition and communication as we plan of future regulations in the area of PII protection” said Gene McWilliams, Vice President for Finance and Administration at Neumann University.

This Grant will enable the institution to have greater control over its personal data and impose many new obligations on organizations that collect, handle, or analyze personal data.

“In recognition of Neumann University’s needs and requirements, the Consortium extends the GDPR Assessment Grant to provide the University a thorough vulnerability assessment and provide a detailed report to secure the campus data and user-sensitive information,” said John T.
